Beginner's Yoga for Core & Balance
Learn the basic foundational yoga poses to stretch tone and open up the body. Find inner strength and engage your core muscles through breathing techniques and flowing movement sequences that will give you cardio benefits. A final meditative cool down will leave you refreshed with a relaxed peace of mind.  Some yoga knowledge is helpful.

About Katie:
Katie started practicing yoga in a dormitory basement in college. She practiced yoga and pilates on and off through college as well as explored modern dance. After college, Katie realized how important her daily practice was after experiencing back trouble from her sedentary, stressful office job. She started taking classes and joined a yoga study group at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. In April 2009 she received a teaching certificate at the 200 hour level. Katie finds yoga to be a wonderful spiritual outlet as well as a way to de-stress and find peaceful solutions to problems. She also finds that after a peaceful yoga practice she is more self aware, self accepting and can be more present to those around her. The mission of Katie’s class is to provide a fun, energizing, non-competitive, wellness promoting, meditative atmosphere while keeping in mind the evolution of the soul. Katie’s class is a mixture of Hatha style yoga along with thoughtful flowing movement drawing from her modern dance background. Katie wishes to thank all the yoga and dance teachers past and present that have guided her on her path, and hopes to spread the benefits of yoga to as many people as possible. She hopes to meet you on your mat soon!
